Online Learning

Safeguarding Training Australia provide a range of online learning modules, to support your organisation’s training program.​

The content of these modules has been carefully written by expert safeguarding educators, and we have many years of experience in creating, testing and evaluating the accuracy and effectiveness of online learning modules.  The modules are updated regularly to ensure they are complaint with legislation and leading practice.

Modules can be directly accessed via our Learning Management System, or by SCORM file delivery on your organisation’s LMS.

Child Safeguarding Orientation Module

Content

This module provides detailed foundational knowledge, designed as an initial induction or orientational module for all organisational representatives. Key topics include:

  • The rights of children and young people

  • What child abuse is

  • Where it occurs

  • How to identify it

  • Risk factors

  • The impact and effects of abuse and harm

  • National Principles/Child Safe Standards

  • Relevant legislation

  • What to do if you have safeguarding concerns

  • What it means to be a child safe organisation
