Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide both face to face and virtual training options?
Yes, we can provide face to face or virtual training. Please indicate preference when requesting a quote.
Can I request a quote for training?
Yes, for our standard modules (2 hours), we can provide a price promptly. For customised training, we can provide a quote based on the topic, required content, attendee numbers, virtual or face to face option, training location if face-face option is requested (suburb and state). Please note, our fee structure varies slightly for training sessions conducted during standard business hours compared to those scheduled after hours and on weekends.
Are you able to modify your training content to suit certain organisations or industries?
Yes. We are able to modify many of our existing training modules to fulfil client requirements. Upon request, we will schedule a meeting with the client to discuss their requirements. Subsequently, STA will tailor the training program to align with the discussed specifications. Additional costs for customisation will apply.
Does your training cover the National Principles and State/Territory based legislation?
Yes, our training is designed to cover all relevant frameworks and legislation in each State and Territory (and International Frameworks). Refer to our training modules page for the exact principles and standards that are addressed in each particular module session.
Who are your faciliators?
You can view our facilitator biographies here. Our facilitators are matched with each module topic and geographical location, where applicable, and are leading practice safeguarding consultants.
What is the maximum number of people that can be trained in one session?
Virtual training numbers remain at maximum of twenty-five people per session.
Face to face training option can facilitate up to 100 people per session, however additional costs for each participant (over twenty-five attendees) will apply.
How soon or far in advance am I able to book a training session ?
You are welcome to enquire on any available dates.
Can we train some of our staff via face to face, and some virtually in the same session?
Generally, we require selection of either face to face or virtual training, (unless you have very sophisticated tech and tech support to support both options at your organisation). We want all participants to have a high-quality experience, and this is often challenging when mixing virtual and face to face training.
Are resources and handouts provided prior, during or following the meeting ?
We will provide a handout at the end of the training session with key information included. Full copies of the slides and presentation materials remain the exclusive property of STA and cannot be provided.
Will our organisation receive a session evaluation at the end of the training?
Yes. We will be able to supply a copy of the session evaluation following the session, upon request.
Will I receive a certificate of completion following the course?
We do not provide electronic or hardcopy certificates following our training sessions, however they can be provided at an additional cost. We recommend that the organisational contact person maintains attendance records, which can then be applied to your organisations Learning Management System or similar professional development records.
Is there after-session support available?
STA are able to respond to questions following a training session (collated via the client-side contact person) within one week of the training session. If further advisory services are required, we can provide a quote for such.
What is our organisation responsible for?
When you book a training session, a designated contact person from your organisation will need to be nominated. STA will communicate with the designated contact person regarding all matters before and after the training session. The contact person will be required to; provide own contact details, facilitate an appointment with appropriate technology links for those being trained, distribute the post-training survey link, maintain a list of employees who attended the training, confirm technology details if virtual training, confirm physical set up details if face to face training, confirm quote details and remain a contact point until session and post-training activities are completed.
Are you a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)?
No, our training is considered non-accredited training.
How long will it take for my training enquiry to be responded to?
We endeavour to respond to incoming enquiries within a 24-hour period.
Can we book recurring training?
Yes. We welcome any enquiries regarding recurring training options (i.e., ongoing quarterly sessions) and these will be offered at a discounted rate (conditions apply).
Do you offer training to individuals (not just organisations)?
Currently, we are focusing on providing training to organisations rather than individuals. However, we are actively evaluating the possibility of extending our training offerings to individuals starting in 2024. If you find it challenging to meet the maximum capacity for a training session and would like to make use of all available seats, we recommend considering collaboration with other relevant organisations.
